Our Executive will meet the guest at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station ( NJP ) II Siliguri Junction and assist them to transfer Jaldapara. It takes approx 3–  3.30 Hrs. to reach jaldapara. Sprawled on the foothills of Eastern Himalayas, Jaldapara is best known for having the 2nd largest population of One-Horned Rhinoceros in India. You will be staying in a private resort near the forest. After checking in, freshen up and have lunch. In the afternoon prepare yourself for a visit to South Khayerbari. South Khayerbari located at a 30mins driving distance from Jaldapara is a rehabilitation centre for leopards and Royal Bengal Tigers rescued from the smugglers and circus. With the help of battery operated cars you can take a tour of this unique nature park while observing the rescued leopards and Royal Bengal Tigers. You can also go for boating in South Khayerbari. Return to the resort and enjoy the serenity of Dooars.

Dooars Tour Package Special Tips - about Jaldapara: Jaldapara became national Park since 2012. Apart from one horned rhino Elephant, Leopard, Sambhar, Chital, Wild Boars are the major attractions. The total area of this National Park is 216.51 square km.
 

you will start your morning by exploring the exquisite subtropical forest of Jaldapara in Jungle Safari. Every day forest officials organize Jungle Safari for the tourist. Being the home of One-Horned Rhinoceros the rich flora and fauna of the National Park will leave you awe-stricken. (Every year from 15th June to 15th September the forest remains close and during this time you cannot go for elephant/ jeep safari in Jaldapara) Return to the resort for breakfast and after breakfast we will take you to the southern border town of Bhutan, Phuentsholing. It is located at an hour driving distance from Jaldapara. In Phuentsholing you can go to visit crocodile breeding centre Amo Chhu and wish fulfilling monastery Karbandi. In the afternoon after lunch drive towards Chilapata Forest. Chilapata is 40 km away with an approx 1 hr drive from Phuentsholing. Return to your resort and rest for the evening.

Dooars Tour Packages Specials Tips - about Chilapata: Forming a natural elephant corridor, in Chilapata Forest you can explore 23 species of carnivores and herbivores, approximately 180 species of birds, 22 species of reptiles, several species of amphibians and a host of lesser fauna. More than Twenty species of snakes are found in Chilapata. Chilapata is well-known for its butterfly species diversity.

After breakfast, check out from the resort and drive to Lataguri. Located at a distance of 85 km it is a 2 hrs drive to Lataguri. Lataguri is quaint township in Jalpaiguri District situated adjacent to Gorumara National Park. Surrounded by dense sub-tropical forest Lataguri is also the entry point of Gorumara National Park. On arrival at Lataguri, check into your resort and freshen up. After lunch, be ready for the afternoon Jungle Safari in Gorumara. It is a great way to witness the exquisite flora and fauna of Gorumara and explore the thick wooded forest of Dooars region. You will come across many animals like Sambar, Bison, Wild Boar and Barking Deers and if you might come even spot the famous One-Horned Rhinoceros along with the herd of Wild Elephants. (Every year Gorumara National Park remains close from 15th June to 15th September during this time you cannot go for Elephant or Jeep Safari in Gorumara.) The activities of day 3 of your Dooars Tour Plan come to an end, therefore return back to the resort and relax for a while.

Dooars Tour Packages Special Tips - about Gorumara: Gorumara national park is a mix of tropical forest, bamboo groves, terrain grassland vegetation and tropical riverine reeds. Sal, common teak, sirish and simul are the major big trees of this forest. In Gorumara national park 50 species of mammals, 194 species of birds, 22 species of reptiles, 7 species of turtles and 27 species of fishes are available other then macro and micro fauna. Among mammals one horn rhinoceros, Indian gaur, Asian elephant, sloth bear, chital, sambar are the big animals.
