About the trip

Changu Lake, also known as Tsomgo Lake, is a breathtaking glacial lake located about 40 km from Gangtok in Sikkim. Surrounded by majestic snow-clad mountains, the lake sits at an altitude of around 12,400 feet. Its crystal-clear blue waters reflect the beauty of the Himalayas, creating a magical view. During winter, the lake freezes completely, while in summer it is adorned with blooming flowers. Changu Lake is not only a scenic wonder but also holds great spiritual significance for the local people.

Daywise Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival NJP / IXB Transfer to Darjeeling ( Hills of Queens )

Our Executive will meet the guest at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station ( NJP ) II Bagdogra Airport ( IXB ) II Siliguri Junction and assist them to transfer Darjeeling ( Hills of Queens ). It takes approx 3 – 4 Hrs. to reach Darjeeling. Check in to hotel. Relax and Explore the Evening by walking distance like The nightingale Park Botanical Garden , Chowrasta , Mahakal Mandir ( Famous Hindu Temple ), market area. 

Stay at Darjeeling.

Day 2 : Explore Darjeeling Local sight Seen ( Full Day )

We basically divided Darjeeling Sight  Scene in 02 Part. 

First Part ( Early Morning ) – 03.30 – 04 AM , Guest will be received from their respective Hotels and Visit the Tiger Hill ( Panoramic View of Sunrise) , Batasia Loop & Ghoom Monastry.

Second Part ( After Breakfast ) – Guest Guided to Explore the different places around Darjeeling. Visit - Himalayan Mountraining Institute, Padamaja Naidu Zoological Park, Tenzing  Rock Climbing, Historical Museum, Peace Pagoda, Lal Kothi, Rope way, Happy valley tea estate, Ava art gallery, Refugee center, etc. 

Stay at Darjeeling. 

Note  : Sight Scene depends of time Permit and Planning from Tour Executive, Ganga Maiya & Rock Garden – Extra Charge , Not included in Package itinerary.

 

Day 3 : Transfer To Gangtok ( The Capitel of Sikkim )

After Breakfast transfer to Gangtok. It takes approx 4 - 4.30 Hrs to reach Gangtok. The route is picturesque, offering a soothing experience amidst  lush greenery. Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, is the 22nd state of India and has been recognized twice as the best tourist destination state. Its famous for monasteries, picturesque site of Himalayas, stunning landcape,rich variety of fauna and flora(basically orchids and butterflies) and steaming dumplings.

After lunch  visit to Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery, White Hall, Flower Show, close to Gangtok. Check in to hotel Relax and Explore the Evening by walking distance like The MG MARG and local shopping center.

Stay at Gangtok.

Permit before entering Sikkim-Please carry any kind of photo identity proof and passport size photos.

Day 4 : Excursion To East Sikkim (Tsongmo Lake & Baba Mandir )

Early morning proceed to visit East Sikkim’s famous places Tsongmo Lake  and  Baba Mandir .After spending sometime there return to Gangtok Hotel. 

TSONGMO LAKE : Tsongmo Lake or Changgu Lake, is a glacial lake in Changu in the Gangtok district of the Indian state of Sikkim, some 40 kilometers from the capital Gangtok. Located at an elevation of 3,753 m, the lake remains frozen during the winter season.

BABA MANDIR : The story of Baba Harbhajan Singh is about an Indian Army soldier who is believed to have continued to protect the Sino-Indian border even after his death in 1968. After he drowned in a stream, his spirit reportedly appeared in the dreams of his colleagues, providing information and guidance. He is revered as a saint by soldiers, who built a shrine in his honor and believe his spirit guards them in the high-altitude terrain of the Himalayas.

PLEASE NOTE  

Nathula Pass : EXTRA COST , as per available of Permit issued by Indian Army.

Nathula Pass is Closed on Mondays, and sometimes on other days due to weather conditions like heavy snowfall or military events like Border Personnel Meetings (BPM). Visitors should always check the current status before planning their trip, as closures can be unpredictable.

Day 5 : Departure With Sweet Memory from Gangtok

After Breakfast the guest will be guided for next destination with a happy memory.

Personal Belongings
The company is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings such as mobile phones, bags, jewellery, or cash.

Additional Charges
Any deviation from the planned itinerary, delays, or additional transfers will incur extra charges.
These charges will be communicated by the driver/escort and must be settled immediately.

  2. To ensure the seamless booking of your travel arrangements, the following payment milestones apply:
  3. Initial Booking: ₹3,000 per person (Applicable for bookings made 150+ days prior to departure).
  4. 100 Days Before Departure: 30% of the total tour cost.
  5. 60 Days Before Departure: 50% of the total tour cost.
  6. 25 Days Before Departure: 100% of the total tour cost (Full payment required).
  7. Important Note: Room reservations are subject to availability and will only be confirmed upon receipt of the advance payment. Payment terms may be adjusted on a case-by-case basis through mutual understanding.

  4. Unforeseen Circumstances: If we are unable to provide the booked arrangements due to factors beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, strikes, etc.), we will prioritize offering alternative travel dates.
  5. Refund Discretion: For any refund requests, the final decision rests with the respective third-party service providers (Hotels, Ferries, or Transporters).
  6. Right to Cancel: The company reserves the right to cancel travel arrangements by providing valid reasons to the  client.
